Ryan deGraffenried, III

Ryan deGraffenried III is a practicing attorney in Tuscaloosa, Alabama who received his B.S. degree in 1998 from The University of Alabama in finance and a minor in economics. Ryan also attended The University of Alabama School of Law where received his Juris Doctorate in 2002

Upon graduating from law school, Ryan served as a law clerk with the Alabama Supreme Court for former Associate Justice Bernard Harwood, Jr. He is a partner in the law firm deGraffenried & Associates, LLC where he practices primarily in the areas of business law, estate planning, and governmental relations.

Although Ryan is the newest member to the Franklin Resources Group team, his roots are well established in Alabama politics. He is the grandson of former Alabama gubernatorial candidate, Ryan deGraffenried, Sr., and the son of former Alabama State Senator and President Pro Tempore, Ryan deGraffenried, Jr

He is an active civic participant in Tuscaloosa, has served as co-chair of the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce’s Public Affairs Committee, and is a Rotarian. He is also a member of First Presbyterian Church. He is married to the former Jennifer O’Steen of Tuscaloosa and has two daughters.
