Glenn Crawford

Glenn Crawford brings more than 27 years of experience working in the health care industry to our group. Glenn retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama in May, 2009. During his career with the largest health insurance carrier in the state he held many positions in the company. The last ten years of his career he represented the company as manager of the Governmental Affairs Department, lobbying members of the Alabama Legislature.

Glenn’s knowledge of the health care industry is extensive. He has worked with large employer groups, hospitals, physicians, dentists, and all other provider types in resolving multitudes of issues. Glenn believes focusing on the individual, practicing diplomacy, knowledge of the issue and the use of common sense will usually resolve most disputes.

During his tenure at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Glenn was very active in professional development programs. He served a term as President of the company’s chapter of the National Management Association and also on the Board of Directors for 4 terms.

A native of Tuscaloosa, Glenn received his BS in Health Care Management from the University of Alabama. He also served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry Corps for four years in the 1970’s.

Glenn, an avid fisherman, resides with his wife Carol, an RN, in Birmingham. Glenn and Carol have three grown children and two grandchildren.

Glenn is currently an independent business consultant associated with Franklin Resources Group.
